Heldenplatz and the Hofburg outer courtyards are completely free to walk through 24/7 and look stunning illuminated at night. If visiting the Sisi Museum inside, we recommend booking a morning slot online to beat the tour buses.

The Hofburg was the center of the Habsburg empire for over 600 years. Today, you can explore the imperial apartments, the Sisi Museum dedicated to Empress Elisabeth, and witness the grand architecture that defined central Europe, including the Spanish Riding School.
